Slight leak on air conditioning unit
    Air conditioning
I have just installed an air conditioning/heat exchanger unit, and I find that I have a slight leak on the liquid and vapour union pipe conections, I cannot tighten these up any more for fear of damaging the conections, I have been told that a product called plumerfix (which is a two part epoxcy compound) should solve the problem as it is only a slight weep could this product be pointed in around the union, is this acceptable?

NO it is not acceptable. Someone made the connections up incorrectly to start with and a band aid (epoxy) is not the cure. Fix it correctly.

Your going to have to cut the union out and braise the joint or your going to have the same problem. No quick fix on this one. Bite the bullet and do it right.
