    Credit card debt
I just received a letter from the court that I am being sued for a credit card. I live in Nebraska and believe the statute of limitations is 4 yrs on collecting on a credit card debt. Have not used or paid on this account since before July of 2005. In June of that year I signed up with precept financial, they were to negotiate a settlement, they never did. Since this account is over 4 yrs old and possibly past the statute of limitations will they be able to get a judgment against me

Yeah Nebraska the SOL for debt cards is 4 yrs.
They can still come after you and attempt to collect.
I don't know that they can get a judgment against you but when they call tell them the SOL is four years so they know that you aren't being intimidated by them.
