Is there a possibility that I might be pregnant?
I started the depo soton July 23, 2009... my very first time on birth control..
Before I got the shot I had sex a day before and haven't gotten my period yet... once I got on the shot I had unprotected sex but my partner pulled out before he ejaculated... but this is the thing... the estimated time of me being on the shot has been 2 1/2 TO 3 weeks... recently... I had unprotected sex again with my boyfriend and he ejaculated in me 5 times without pulling out... now when I go to the bathroom and I begin to wipe... I am spotting but it's real light and it don't look nothing close to a period and that just started... if you ask me if I have any symptoms... the only thing that I have notice is me sleeping more and eating a lot... so what do you think?? Do it sound like I might be pregnant?

p.s I don't know if this will help but recently my vaginal area has been extra moist... what does that means

Any time you have sex you could get pregnant, birth control or not. No BC is 100% effective.

You'll have to wait and see, get an hpt .

    Good luck.

Lighter or missed periods are common side effects of the depo shot. If you find you don't get your period when you are supposed to you can take a HPT about a week later using first morning urine to put your mind at ease.

These are some of the symptoms that I had when I first started taking the contraceptive pill and it does seem like you are experiencing side effects of the shot. I would wait until you find out whether your period comes or not and then take a test but be aware that when first starting a birth control method your monthly cycles can be a bit scatty just the same as when you come off them x

Being sleepy and increased appetite are some symptoms of the shot. You can either wait and take a test or call your doctor and ask him or her about your questions. Often they'll at least have a nurse you can talk to on the phone.

A pregnancy test will NOT show up positive due to the injection. For a pregnancy test to show up positive you need the pregnancy hormone called HCG. HCG is not one of the hormones in the depo shot.
