How long does a person have to stay in jail on a probation hold?

My boyfriend was arrested for two warrants and he was on probation so he is currently in jail on a probation hold. He had two months left on probation and I want to know how long will he be in jail on the hold?

Probatoin hold is normally if you are in jail for something else, and they have a hold on your release till you go to a probation hearing to see if you are going to be sent back to jail for the old offense.

But in either case, till he goes to court.

In my state you can sit in jail up to 6 months before your court date.

There is NO time limit. However, they'll do something BEFORE he gets off probation, however, or they lose jurisdiction.
