I have only had 1 depo shot(90 days) and am due for the 2nd shot the first week of September but have decided not to get ANYMORE! I want to have a 2nd child with my husband and was wondering will I start to ovulate right away? I've never stopped bleeding since I got the shot!

Ok... I've been on depo for eight years now... * your supposed to go on for so many than off for so many* and my dr told me STRAIGHT UP.. if you keep bleeding through the whole 12 week peroid stop and don't get another needle.. it means its no working or doing what it should... Also it lasts in your system for anywheres from three months to a year... so it could be a little wait to be able to conceive

I was ont the depo for on solid year and got off it it took me five years to have a period and the next month I got pregnant

It does change with the person I should have mentioned that... (see other thread for example)
