Does anyone know why Robinson Crusoe on Mars is so expensive compared to other movies released around the same time?

Most likely the other movies have been out on DVD longer. This one was just released in 2007 (on disc)

Yeah, I found it on Amazon for between $27 and $35. Its so expensive because the studio released it as a limited run, so only a few copies are floating out there. Not like a more modern popular movie that gets a release of millions of copies. So you have two choices, wait it out and hope the price drops before the movie moves to out of print status or... bite the bullet and pay the cost.
I wanted to get the movie Forbidden Planet, but it too was very expensive, between $25 and $30, so... I waited. Now I found it in a four movie DVD collection with 2001 A Space Odyssey / Soylent Green / Forbidden Planet / The Time Machine, all four movies in one box set for only $16.99.
Maybe, eventually, someone will do this with Robinson. Let's hope.
