We have two 8 week old Jack Russel puppies from the same litter. We have puppy proofed our basement. What is the maximum amount of time that they can be on their own during the day?

Are you crate training?

If you are leaving them in a crate then it's usually one hour for every month. So, at 2 months of age they can be in the crate for 2 hours.

I don't recommend leaving them alone too long uncrated. Even with a puppy proofed basement, they'll find trouble. ;)

Is there anyone that can come check on them while you're gone? That would be your best bet.
