    Hand held shower head leak
I have a hand held shower head that leaks at the lock nut where the hose attaches up top to the thing where you hang the head (sorry can't think of what that's called). I already checked and changed washers for the whole unit. Still leaks. This assembly unit's lock nut has a couple of small cut outs in the metal at the bottom on the lock nut where the water just comes streaming out. I looked at the one in my mom's house but hers is a different brand. Does anyone know why the water just is pouring out these small areas? I was also looking at the end of the hose where a small white plastic cap, of sorts, that has holes in it (valve?) but cannot tell if that is misfunctioning. It was a $50 shower head. I know that's not really expensive. However it is to me not that I am unemployed! Help!

Is it a new one or old one if new one installed you can return it back to the store and get a replacement, would you be able to post a picture of it? Thanks.

No it is at least a couple years old. It is a Nature Mist Three Function 6" Handheld Shower, Chrome finish SHOWERHEAD. It is online for sale, but I purchased mine in a local store. Thanks john, sorry don't know how to post a pic. What is kind of strange is that I don't remember there being any smaller leaks leading up to the way it is now.
