    No high speed
My ceiling fan will not turn on with one pull, then a second pull sends it straight to medium speed, no high speed?

Yea, no remote, just pull cord, medium and low works fine, just doesn't get the highspeed

In your first post you said medium only, no low or high. No matter, I still think it's a bad switch.

Appreciate your help, but I said it goes straight to medium, like skips the high, I said nothing about the low.

" not turn on with one pull, then a second pull sends it straight to medium speed, no high speed" I may be reading this wrong.

Yes, it goes 1 pull high, 2 medium, and 3 low, I should have stated that, but I though almost all fans were like that.

    Could also be a capacitor.

I bet it's the capacitor. These switches don't fail unless someone breaks the chain.

I BET the sequence is: High (acts like medium) Medium (acts like low) Low (blades not moving) Off.
