There is more to PCOS than just cysts as some women are prone to developing them but do not have PCOS. Here's a great site with a good deal of information on it.
Personally, I wouldn't automatically accept a diagnosis of PCOS just from having cycts. Do you have any of the other more common traits?....some facial hair, weight gain, irregular cycles, blood sugar fluctuations, fertility issues, etc.? Certainly not everyone will have all of these, but just pointing out there is sometimes more going on. Was anything else discussed during your visit with the last doctor?
