Hot what faucet in bath tub/shower leaks
I have a combination bath tub and shower. The hot water faucet leaks in a steady stream. I turned off the water to the tub and unscrewed the hot water handle, but the handle itself will not come off. What do I do?

    Need help.

I assume that you have a two or three handle valve,(see image) and not a single handle valve . For that stubborn handle get yourself a handle puller, (see image). Remove the knob and cover plate. Now unscrew the bonnet packing nut and back the stem and washer assembly out counterclockwise. Replace the washers and check the seat for nicks or rough spots . With the valve still open turn on the water for a few seconds to flush out any crud that may be in there. Reassemble and test. Better now? Good luck and thank you for rating my reply. Tom
