I own an Elizebeth 1st hammered sixpence dated 1562. It is in very good condition and everything is clear and readable with naked eye. Could you advise me as to it's current value and the best way to sell.
Regards MelGB

Hi, MelGB!
If you haven't already done so, the first thing that I would suggest doing is to take that coin to a coin dealer, who can examine it in person, to determine if it's authentic. From what I've read, there were some fake ones of that particular coin that were minted sometime later.
Flying Blue Eagle is an Exert on this site who has the current documentation as to the possible monetary values of collectible coins and currency, as such, I'm sure that he'll eventually come along to address your post. He'll also know the best ways to sell it.
Thanks!
Many thanks Clough,I have taken in your advice and will let you know the eventual outcome, if any;
Regards MelGB
You're WELCOME, and I hope that it turns out to be the "real McCoy", MelGB!
Thanks!
