Bumps or leasions on the shaft
Ok I don't know what I got, but I need to know what I have. I have been tested for all STD's and it al came back negative. Back in march I started to get these bumps/ blisters/ pimple looking things on the base of my shaft. The doc I saw said I had folicalitis and gave some pills. Needless to say the bumps went away for a bit but then I keep getting them from time to time so it makes me curious. Is it possible from get them by too much heat? Is it just that my skin gets irratated from the kind of underwear that I wear which is boxer briefs? The bumps don't really hurt, kind of itches a bit, and skin turns reddish. If you can help me that would be great, I'm definitely needing to get this resolved.

Did your doctor clearly explain to you what folliculitis means? It doesn't seem that he/she did. You were probably prescribed an antibiotic to ease the inflammation of the existing blisters/bumps. You may need to go back and get a new prescription because you may have a new infection.

I'm not sure if you shave but if so, stop because that will only irritate the area more. Also, the boxer brief may keeps moisture/perspiration trapped on your skin. Try switching to briefs. Also try a light dusting of a cornstarch powder that will help keep the area dry and comfortable. (Johnson & Johnson makes a great one that's also contains aloe - found in the baby care section). Your doctor may also can prescribe a cream to relieve the itchiness while the blisters heal.

But definitely go back and see your doctor.
