Hi, me and my boyfriend started trying for a baby nearly two months ago, I stopped taking the mini pill cerrazette around the 1st July when I came on my period which was a normal period, my nextperiod was due around the 3rd August which came but was extremely light in the fact that I didn't need to use anything when having the period and only lasted 2 and a haf days. I am unsure whether this could have been implantation bleeding or just du to the fact that I was on the mini pill for nearly a year and prior to that I was taking microgynom pill for 3 and a half years, is this my body getting used to not taking the pill or could I be pregnant? The only other symptoms I have is tiredness, slight abdominal pain and tenderness in my gums. Could someone please give me some advice as don't want to tempt fate by taking a test yet xx

How is taking a test tempting fate? You should take one because if you are pregnant you need to get prenatal care.

It can take several months to regulate after coming off birth control. That being said, you can't rule out pregnancy until you take a HPT with first morning urine.

I know well I am due to have my next period next week so I am going to see whether that happens and if not then I will take a hom pregnancy test, but thank you for your advice as I was not quite sure whether it was just due to my body regulating itself again.

Just to add to this question the only reason I have not taken a test is that because my last period although extremely light (spotting) was only 3 weeks ago but my last normal one was 3rd July so I am unsure whether if I am pregnant which date to base it on as couldn't the lighter/spotting period be implantation bleeding??

Again, the only way to know would be to take a test. If it's negative, it's unlikely that it was implantation bleeding before but you may still have become pregnant since then. And if it's positive, then congrats.
