First of all let me say thank you for answering my frequent questions. I've never used a forum like this before and I have found it so helpful and just reassuring. My question is: my estimated ovulation date was aug 9th this month. Today I have been cramping and had a lot of cervical mucus change (very thick and white) so I'm pretty sure I'm just now ovulating. My husband and I had sex on July 31st, aug 2,3,6,7 and 9th. Is it still possible I could become pregnant if I'm just now ovulating? And I've read correctly and do conceive this cycle the implantaion bleeding would be sometime in the next 7-12 days? Thanks for your opinions and answers!

Did you and your husbandf have intercourse within the past 2 days at ball? Even though you did on the 9th doesn't mean its going to last until the 11th. Its possible, since sperm lives 3 to 5 days within you. Where you doing all you could and laying down for 30 minutes after? It's very likely you're pregnant, just don't be looking for the signs. Usually you will start feeling things that aren't actually there, so just relax and have fun. Try not to test until the 1st day of your next expected period.

No, the last day we had intercourse was the 9th. Afterwards I didn't pee, went and laid on the couch with a pillow under my butt for about an hour. I know I hate waiting!! Oh well, guess ill know in a couple weeks. If not we'll just have to keep trying, which my husband has no problem with the trying part lol. Thanks for the reply!

Fertile cervical mucus tends to be clear, fluid, and stretchy... often referred to as being like egg whites. If you did indeed ovulate on the 9th, all of the sessions leading up to and including that day could lead to pregnancy. Obviously it is a matter of having to wait and see... frustrating, I know! You may or may not have implantation bleeding or spotting... most women do not.

If you aren't pregnant this time around... next cycle you might want to include a few sessions of sex in the few days after you suspect that you might be ovulating to cover a wider base just in case your dates are off a bit. Important to remember, that timing is just one variable in achieving success. Fingers crossed!
