Do I have an autoimmune disease?
I am 25 years old. I have had several health problems over the years. When I was 18 I was diagnosed with PCOS. At 19 I got pregnant with twins. I had a very bad pregnancy, with high blood pressure and anemia. The twins were born by emergancy c-section at 28 weeks. After that I have never completely recovered. I continued to have high blood pressure and slight anemia after having the kids. I constantly felt sick and nobody could figure out what was wrong with me. Then almost 2 years later I found out I had an infection from my c-section, I had surgery and the dr. said it was bad but he had gotten it all out. He also diagnosed me with endometriosis. I felt like maybe I was going to start to feel better, and it seemed like I did for a while. Now almost 3 years later from that surgery I am still not feeling well. Every time I get bloodwork my white blood count comes back high even when I wasn't going because I was sick. I always asked if my infection from my c-section was still there, he always assures me that it is all gone. I know have swollen lymph nodes in my neck and my ears and throat have been hurting for about a month now. He put me on anitbiotics like he does all the time and it didn't go away. He wanted to put me on more anitbiotics, and I asked him what do I have an infection from he wouldn't say. I told him I didn't want to take anymore antibiotics. I am still feeling really bad. Here are all my symptoms fatigue, sensetivty to light, night sweats, insomnia, pain in my bones & muscles, headaches, migraines( I have had them since I child but they started showing up again), stomach problems. I don't know if I might have an autoimmune disease. I think I am going to try a new doctor, but until then I really would like to know what is going on with me. I just want to feel better again?

Did he take your ovaries? Your symptoms sound a lot like hormonal imbalance

I have been told I have an hormonal imbalance, all they have done is put me on birth control. I was reading on it but it still doesn't explain my swollen lymph nodes and recurring infections.

Try visiting a PCP and ask. They'll run a few blood tests to check for hypothyroidism, hormone imbalances, and auto-immune disease, as well as anything else they might suspect.

If you're not happy with the care and attention your current doc is providing, drop him and move on! Its your body and it deserves to be looked after.

    Good luck!
