My vehicle was imponded by the law and now they are telling me to give a written response by pleading or motion to retrieve the vehicle. Im confused. I want the vehicle back but I don't know if Im suppose to plead or motion? HELP!

What State and what agency seized it? Why?

Im in the state of Marland. And the vehicle was seized due to drug involvement, and the charges were dropped and there was nothing found in the vehicle.

It was impounded, nothing was found and they won't release it to you?

Doesn't make sense.

Why is it being held? You would file a Motion stating just that - it was impounded, it was "clean," there are no charges, you want it back. I honestly don't know why a simple letter to the DA wouldn't work - but I'm not in Maryland.
