    Stalled Toilet
The toilet won't flush and the flapper will not stay down and water will not go out of the tank. Bought a new fluid master toilet repair kit and nothing.

Quick question before we start. When you say the TANK, you are referring to the resovoir behind the toilet up againist the wall, right?

    There's three complaints for openers!

    The toilet won't flush
Why? What doe it do? Does the water not come down from the tank or does the bowll fil up, swirl around and slowly go down ;leaving the solids behind? Please explain in detail

the flapper will not stay down
This could be due to the tank parts not adjusted correctly. Check the tank water level, it should be at the mark in the tank or 3/8 to 1/2" below the top of the over flow tube. Now look at the flapper, If it has wavy edges on the flat surface, replace it. The linkage between the flapper and the flush lever should have 1/4" play when the tank is filled. Also, check the small tube coming out of the top of the ballcock and make sure it's connect to and draining into the white overflow tube.
3)[QUOTEThe water will not go out of the tank[/QUOTE] If the flapper won't close and the ballcock's calling for water where does the water go?
Please answer my questions and I'll get right back.. Tom
