My partner and I have been in our new house for a few weeks. We moved our cat in the same day that we moved in and after 2 weeks we let him out side and he seemed happier. But over the past week he has been very clingy and rarely goes outside.He wants more fuss than usual and follows our feet around the house no matter where we go. He has also stopped sleeping on the chairs/sofas that he used to be fond of and has now opted for lying a broken down cardboard box. He seems be eating OK but I'm worried as he used to race me down the stairs as soon as I was awake so I would let him down the stairs. Any advice would be great.

Cats hate change, and you've turned his whole world upside down! Give him lots of love and attention. Lie on the floor so you are at his level and he will probably climb up on your chest and hunker down. Get down on the floor on all fours and be cat-like with him now and then. You may feel stupid, but it works for me with my cats. Find a couple more empty cardboard boxes for him to hide and sleep and play in. Gradually, he will get used to his new home.
