I haven't had a period in 11 weeks, I'm scared about telling my mom, and is it too soon to go to the doctors?
What shall I do, and how shall I bring it up with my mom, who is a nurse?

Oh also, I'm 18, am underweight, probably don't eat enough so it might be because of that, and I'm not the healthiest either. Also I am not sexually active (although I have slept with someone, we broke up 15 months ago so I haven't had sex in over 15 months!).

You know something... I didn't mean to ask how old you were LMAO... anyway you should go see a doctor. I recommend you talk to your mom anyway. You said you weren't sexually active so why be scared.

    Please tell me you're joking.

There could be any number of reasons that she isn't menstruating, some which could be extremely serious. Pregnancy is only one reason a woman's body stops menstruating and not the only thing to be concerned about.

If you are anorexic or borderline anorexic that will stop your cycle.
    It needs to be addressed.

I don't understand your fear in telling your mother but as a nurse I am sure she will understand and take appropriate measures to get you seen by a gynecologist.

Your reproductive health is important for overall health and to insure your fertility in the future, should you want children.
