Hi
Is it say virtual memory low?
No,it doesn't say anything.I have sigmatel onboard sound
This might occur if the speakers are plugged into the wrong port on the computer. There are sometimes two ports that send sound out. One is for speakers, and the other is an unamplified output for other devices. Plugging into the wrong port on a Sound Blaster gave me (I think) very faint sound.
No ,it's not like that .I have checked thoroughly ,previosly I was using this port only so no question of wrong port.I guess there is some other prob..
Double click on speaker next to clock
-make sure that the Wave slider bar is up as well as the Volume slider bar
Everything is at max level... I don't think there is setting prob.. may be some other prob..
Everything is at max but is there a column for Wave?
Control panel, sound and audio devices
-speaker volume
-max those out and Apply
Now click Advanced and make sure you have speakers set to Desktop Stereo Speakers and apply
Now check sound again
I followed instructions given by you but with no result .I have done these kinds of checking before but cluess what else can I do now.
Would be great to hear from you .
Karan
but is there a column for Wave?
What does it mean?which wave?
When you double clicked on the speaker and the items come up, is there a volume column there that says Wave
-should have a Master volume and Wave volume
You I do have wave volume and I have put it to max but the same result... still volume is low.
Did you make sure that you have speakers set to Desktop Stereo Speakers in adv. Settings mentioned on first page?
Yes I have done that !I don't thing there is problem in settings because I have checked almost all viable possibilities of volume settings.
What sound device is listed in device mgr for sound?
What driver did you install for it?
This is the settings of sound drivers in device mangers and I copy here in the same order.
Sound ,video and game controller
Audio codecs
Legecy audio drivers
Legacy video capture devices
Media control devices
Sigmatel High Definition Audio codec
Video codec
I have Intel G965 mother board and I have got drivers cd as well so I install drivers from the Intel mother board sound driver cd.
Any more information needed ,always welcome...
Back to settings real quick
Control panel, sound audio devices
-click options then properties
Make sure you have the correct Mixer Device listed there
Again I did bt with no result buddy..
Try the latest driver
In device mgr, right click on the sigmatel and choose uninstall and when that is uninstalled, try installing latest version below
SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC 6.10.0.5609
