Hello,

I won green card in 2007 and I entered USA in September of 2008.
I stayed 1 week and turn back to my country. Because of financial problems and work intensity I couldn't enter USA again until now.

Within 1 month it will be one year after I leave USA. As I know I have one year to go back.
I can go back but after one week I should turn back to my country again.

Is it worth to go again to USA ? I mean, will this journey help me to protect my green card ?

And I have a chance to start a company based Detroit but I should stay at Istanbul.
That means I will work abroad for an American company. Is this change any stuation for holding green card ?

You do not have one year to re-enter the US. It is dependent of the facts of your case. Your posting indicates you do not want to be a US permanent resident. You want a visitor visa.

If so, you should file to relinquish the permanent resident card and visit whenever you want, rather than a forced visit for one week every 6 months.

Working abroad is working abroad, it does not allow for you to meet the physical presence requirements of US permanent residence. Good luck.

I don't want to relinquish the permanent resident card. For future I want to work and live in US but at the moment it is not possible.

You have a difficult task, but this is what you need to do document wise. The next time you are in the US, you must file for your re-entry permit, on form I-131. You must be physically present in the US for filing and the biometrics.

1. stay in the US for as long as possible, as much as possible.

2. create and maintain ties to the US.

3. have a residence in the US

4. pay/file US taxes, every year, never as a non-resident.

5. open and fund US bank accounts, credit cards, brokerage accounts, etc.

6. get your US drivers license.

7. get US employment.

8. document and prepare to explain why you spend the vast majority of your time outside the US.
