    Electric bore pump knowledge required!
    Hello,
I have bought a house that has an electric bore pump. The info on the motor is BGE, 50 cycles, HP 115.
There is plenty of water down the hole as it is visible. I have checked the pipe for blockages, all good. The electric motor sits next to the pump and drives the pump via a belt. When I have disconnected the pipe from the pump where it enters, there appears to be no suction while the pump is running.
I have also tried filling the pump with water with the valve open then turning it on, still did not pump water.
Has anyone got any info to help me get this thing working, as my lawn is looking pretty shabby.
    Thanks
    Greg

The first thing to try is priming the pump. There should be a plug or pressure gauge at the top of the impeller cage (the round housing) on the pump. Remove that, pour in water until it will hold no more, replace it, and turn on the pump. Try that and get back with us.
