    We say a year for pressure treated 2X material. Plywood probably 6 months. What are you painting, if in very much direct sunlight, paint will peal, last about a year or so.

    It would be nice to know hat you are doing, opaque stain or semi-transparent stain may work better.

    Pressure treated wood should not be painted, wait at least 6 months and STAIN
