    Family non-repayment of money
Four years ago, I agreed to allow my son-in-law and daughter to transfer their credit card debt of $25,000. Onto my credit card with 1% interest because they promised to pay the bill within one year. Now, four years later, three of those years at 10.99% they still have not paid the bill. My son-in-law will not even speak of it. If I get the dead beat to sign an IOU for $25,000. Plus the compounded interest, can I use that document to place a lien against his home, the home he never bought with his own money but is in his name? The home with the mortgage only in my daughter's name? Now that I have to move from my own home, what can I do legally? Thank you and bless you for trying to help... nonna:confused:

If you get them to sign a note, you can then sue them if they don't pay then ( and hope they don't file bankruptcy.

Or if you can prove the debt you sue them now

I feel like I am losing my daughter and my grandkids and this drug addict is walking around with his wawa coffee. He always claimed he couldn't get a credit card, so every card was and is in my daughter's name. But he cannot deny the truth. How is it my daughter stays with this pencil head? I don't understand. He is a terrible father too.
