    Ex-boyfriend holding onto my property
My boyfriend (of 10 years) and I split up; he emptied our storage units and now has furniture, clothing, computer, property of our sons and mine at his mother's address; I have receipts for my property - how do I get my property back? I am currently ordering custody and support for our son - can the order include retrieval of my property? Can I turn up at the house with the police and my receipts? Do I have to go to small claims (Computer alone was over $3,000) Please advise

You can show up with the police IF they are willing to get involved. Tell them it is stolen property and you have the receipts.

    Otherwise
You have to take him to small claims court if he is not going to let you take your stuff back.
I think the limit there is $5,000.
