will airbrush make for my face and bleach for my body be a good idea?
I think I know what to do to myself now.. I'm going to by an airbrush make-up kit to make me a shade or two lighter ( is it a bit over the top for daily use and waste money?)... well I don't know lol will it look enven has anyone had any experiences will it look unveven n clownish lol? And some random cheap I can find somewher for body is this a good idea? What lightens the body fast and is it unrealistic to wear lighter make-up there HAS got be something that works on dark black skin for the face without harming but after that tragic bio claire accident I never want to use creams on face again:( I'm still burning and itching as I type

Choco, I understand what you are saying. Yes, you can use makeup to lightening your skin, but you have to be careful that it doesn't make you look to ashy like Lil Kim or something. There are numerous tricks that you can use with makeup to make it appear that you are actually light. With airbrush makeup, since you are dark, you would need to use a color that would "cover up" your dark undertones. Here are some examples, racechanging makeups | realistic & non-realistic whiteface | 'The Tyra Banks Show' | themakeupgallery . In these pictures, the makeup artist was able to change Tyra's complexion to lighter color with makeup.

So would it be a good idea to use doris micheals yellowy brown concealer on very dark brown skin first to make a lighter undeterone then use desired brown toned make-up ? Would it look to heavy could I use loose powder instead for the undertone...

Well to everyone his or her own.. I don't think it's a good idea.. luking bright while makeup is on.. and not when its not...

What about days when you simply can't put on your makeup ?

Rather than that use hydrogen peroxide.. it gives you super temporary lightening but lightening for sure...

Why waste time on a silly makeup job

Choco, In order to truly cover up your skin complexion with makeup, you would need to try some theatrical and movie makeup that real makeup artist use on set. Ben Nye is a good choice and has a variety of colors. As for what color would you need to put on first, I'm not sure without actually seeing your complexion. You would need to know what's your skin's undertones and neutralize it with a specific hue. There is a great color wheel site that explains this, but I can't remember which.

Hydrogen peroxide will only lighten for a matter of minutes, then resume to your origial color. It may be able to dry up the top layer of the skin. I had wondered about this too before. It can bleach the hair, but it is strong. It temporarily lightens because it's a bit more acidic than lemon juice. It's the same as the hydrogen peroxide you can buy at walmart or almost any store that you use for cuts, scrapes, and bleaching teeth.

Do you think it's worth it if it is a matter of minutes?

Well, people apply it to their skin for various reasons so it's worth a shot. It may burn though. So if you want you can see how your skin reacts to it and try not letting it sit too long.

Sugar please do NOT use this. Omg... PLEASE. This is just going to burn your skin and dry you out. Honey don't use it.

You need to learn to love your dark skin that God gave you and stop wanting to be light skinned! This is an inferiority complex, you are very insecure. I think you need to seek therapy so you can learn to love who YOU are!

Really, I want the honest truth. Why do you want to lighten your skin colour?

Apologies for sounding quite blunt, but black girls who do this have serious issues that they need to address otherwise you'll be seeking to be something you're not.

@estellia. You think so? So a black girl wanting to airbrush to be lighter has an inferiority complex. Well then I ask you this. What about the white girl who airbrushes herself to be darker? Does she have an inferiority complex? Does she need therapy? It is you who need to address your issue as to why you have created a double standard that makes something that is practiced by people across all racial lines a "problem" when it applies to a "black" girl.

I'm white but hate the look of tans so I am looking for a skin lightener that will let me keep a pale angelic look. I only need to go a few shades. So has anyone had luck with a product that lightens a few shades. I know this forum has been here forever and I'm literally shocked no one has had any luck and would share the name of the product to help all these people instead of us tiredly searching the internet for anything that will work when it's all fake scams.

I think she wants to do it for herself and not for some guy and if that's thae case; I think it's a great idea.

A guy who falls for her just for her skin tone is a douche...

    Just saying.
