    Lied about my age.
Ok sooo, I met this guy online and we started chatting and he's 23, I'm actually 17 but I told him I was 18. I don't know why! I wasn't expecting to end up meeting him its not something I have ever done before. So we met up and it went really well but he still thinks I'm 18! And is always like 'oh you're so young' so it's so awkward. We went out for drinks but I took him to a bar where I don't get id'd or anything so that went well, but he's wanting to go out other places now and I don't know what to do other than tell him I'm 17 but I don't know what to say and I'm scared of what he's going to say. How the hell do I tell him and how do you think he'll react?

You tell him the truth, before he finds out from someone else. Or lands in jail because of your lie, trying to be an adult. That's why you lied. You didn't want him to think you were a kid.

You may be legal, but not HONEST, your welcome.

If it was a mistake, as you say, then correct it.

Aye but what do I say, do you see it as a big deal if its like 2 and a half months?

Why wouldn't you just tell him the truth.

He may back off until you turn 18, he may drop you like a hot potato, he may laugh and think it's a big joke, he may not care one way or the other.

But one thing is sure, it is bothering you, and guaranteed he will find out if you're still together and he attends your birthday party in a few months!

Just tell him you did a dumb thing, you're not sure why, not a big deal, but you lied about your age.

He will probably be relieved to know you aren't younger than 17.

Starting a relationship on a lie is a big deal, what happens in two years after he finally finds out, and loses all trust in you and leaves??

    Tell him or leave I'm

You wait till you're 18 before seeing him again lol and if he ask you before that say you're close to being 18 so you consider yourself 18. I'm 19 but my mom calls me 20 all the time and there's still 2 months before I actually turn 20. But sooner or later he ll find out and than they ll be problems. Just pray it won't be a big deal for him.

Although I highly recommend you don't do what I just said above and come clean, it was just a thought.

You need to accept the consequences of your actions. You definitely aren't the first person in the world to lie about your age, but that doesn't excuse you either. We all understand why you did it, too. But that's not the point.

If you really care about this guy you'll tell him the truth. If you don't care about him and want to remain a selfish little girl, then you'll keep lying to him. Simple as that.

Just tell him... 'hey, I told you a little white lie about my age- it's not a big one - I'm actually 17. This might make it a bit awkward when we go out. Sorry! I know it was stoooopid!'

Just tell him... the longer you wait the worse it will get.
