The higher the mileage the more wear and tear on the engine.

It would also pay to check if there are any BMW parts retailers in your area as here (I am in Australia) they can be expensive to fix as the parts are considered 'rare'

They require an above-average amount of maintenance. I'd buy a Honda or Toyota, instead.
