Theft Under, Possession of stolen property
I'm 25 and I'm being convicted for Theft Under, Possession of property by stealing a license plate. I wasn't caught driving the car, I was caught when towing my car. After that I gave a police statement saying what the story is hoping that I might receive Diversion since this is my first criminal offense. I don't have much money so paying for an expensive lawyer isn't much of an option, apparently I don't have much of a shot getting a legal aid because it's my first offense. What should I do? Is this going to be permanent? Will I ever get to travel again? Is their any places that will help for cheap? Thank you to all responses in advance
