Hi Ecolhouer,
Go to My Computer/Control Panel/Add Hardware and run the New Hardware wizard. This should automatically detect and reinstall it.
Good luck. Take care. :)
Thank you but I tried that and it told me the drivers are not installed ( code28 )Quote:

Do you have a drivers disc that came with your PC? If so you can try to install the driver from there. Sorry I can be more help, but you did not include your system make, and the operating system you are using. Please be sure to rate me, and have a great day!Quote:

And restore your PC to a date that you know for a fact you had your sound. This should take care of the problem. Note: You will have to reinstall any programs you've installed since the restore.
No, system restore is not a good idea for your problem. It will restore to a point that may not be helpful or make problems worse. If you have a manufactured PC (Dell, HP, Gateway, etc.) then go to there website and put in your machine type. They will have the drivers listed there for download. If you have a PC Clone (no name build by *anyone) then you will have to go to the manufacturer of the audio device. If it is onboard sound then check for the drivers at the motherboards website. If it is a PCI card then go to that manufacturer. If you can't or won't open your computer you can check the manufacture information by using Belarc (program that you can download for free - Google it) and it will tell you the information that you need to know. Then Google the company and find the drivers that way. Or you could use DriverGuide.com (printer drivers, cdrom drivers, modem drivers, sound drivers, mouse drivers, monitor drivers, etc.) - DriverGuide.com ( full of advertising now but still the best site for drivers)
