    Sick puppy
I have a 4 1/2 month old puppy that became ill with bloody stools, fever and being lethargic. Hes been to the vet they had him on antibiotics for 3 weeks and he got better but now that he's been off the antibiotics he is ill again with the same problem. He has been tested for parvo and it is negative however two different vets and multiple vet visits no one can determine what is causing him to be ill. Symptoms are fever, lethargy, decreased eating, constipation with bloody stools sometimes loose sometimes solid. Lab tests indicate an infection but it is definitely not parvo. He is on antibiotics again and doing better but am concerned once off he will get ill again. Anyone have any idea's or been through this before? Could it be he has something blocked in his stomach making him sick and the antibiotics counter act it but once off the infection comes right back? Im out of my mind here and the vets are not able to figure it out so hopeing someone may have idea or been through it.

You may have hit the nail on the head when you say 'could it be a blockage'. Yes it could very well be. You should have them X ray him right away. It could be a blockage, not maybe in his stomach, but his lowerintestine. Puppies will eat anything at all! Good luck. I know you have probably spent mega bucks on this by now, but the X ray would be a priority if it were my pup.

Is Parvo the only thing the vet ruled out?
