I just got my tongue pierced last night. I hurts too much to suck on ice or a popsicles to bring the swelling down. Does any one have any suggestions on what else to do?

You are just going to get passed the hurt and suck on an ice cube. The swelling has to go down. Try slivers of ice in a glass.
