So he told a mutual friend that he liked me and he's asked a few times when are we going to hang out and when he asks I just say I don't know, or whenever you want... and he was hanging out with our mutual friend and he was asking where he should take me and she said that he just kept bugging her about where he should take me because he didn't know where we should go... but he has yet to make a move and officially set a date and place... and for some reason I just feel like I know its never going to happen I feel like he may just be all take and no action... so what's your opinion is he all talk or is he maybe just nervous or afraid of rejection?

I would say "nervous or afraid of rejection."

Maybe instead of saying "I don't know" when he asks you, say something along the lines of "anytime, just give me a time a date." When you say "I don't know" it makes him unsure. If he's shy, it will make him even more scared of asking you.

Otherwise, if you're that interested in him, just ask him out yourself. Why wait?

Well I'm going to answer honestly and say that I haven't nor will I ever ask someone out unless I was really comfortable with them because I am scared of being rejected and that's because of course I've never experienced rejection so I won't ask him out also because I don't want to seem desperate.

If you're so scared of rejection, then you should be more understanding of this guy. He already expressed interest in you to your friend. Just give him time to build enough courrage.

In the meantime, if you're too scared to ask him out, at least call/text/IM him up to talk to show that you are interested.

Okay I'm in the same situation but vice-versa! Don't be scared to tell him yes! Like yes I will, but you got to tell me when! He is not nervous nor shy, maybe just a little, but he probably respects you in a way that he wants to wait for you to be sure about it! Because he's unsure if you really do because you keep saying I don't know! Don't waste time, and 1 time just ask him "hey so when are you going to take me out?".. he will be so happy you asked and there you'l have you date!
