Hello I am renting a house at this time I have been renting for about 10 months paying my rent on time everymonth and keeping intouch with the land lord. When I moved in I noticed that the person that was living here before never put in a change of address so that persons mail still comes here. I do make sure that the landlord gets the mail since it's a family members of hers. A lot of red flags do pop up like very important bank statesments regarding the house. Now every time I see something I ask the landlord is everything OK with the house she says everything is fine don't worry. But just a couple of days ago I notice a letter was stuck on my gate about the house being up for sale. I had no warning about the house landlord always ensured me that everything was fine What can I do to protect me and my family. :confused:

You will have to confront her, keep paying the rent, or if you feel things are escalating, put the rent in a special account until you are called upon to forfeit it. She should give you notice, she just doesn't want to lose the money.
