My husband and I have lived in the same apartment for 13 years with both of our names on the lease. 10 months ago, I moved out since we needed to straighten things out. Our lease is up in September, and the landlord dropped off a new lease to be signed. My husband signed the new lease in his name only. I am moving back into the apartment and I was wondering if the landlord can take my name off the lease without asking me. The landlord told me that since I was not living there, she asked him. Is this legal?

It's a new lease. He didn't take your name off it... he didn't put it on the new one... which he could not have done anyway.
