    Quite definitely this is safe. I usually cook a big batch of chicken in the regular oven and then freeze all the leftovers. I reheat the chicken using a steamer and that rehydrates the chicken versus plopping in a microwave and drying it out.

    If the chicken has been properly stored in the refrigerator, you can safely reheat and eat it up to two days after putting in the refrigerator. Any more than 2 days I'd say no, throw it out.

    Frozen chicken can keep for up to 6 months before reheating though.
