Hey my friend let me borrow his bike to get back home I put it in my yard and it got stolen during the night .my friends neighbor keeps saying I got to get the bike back or they will call the cops so they gave me one day to get it but I cant.this is not the first time things got stolen from my yard one thing was my bike.later in the week I found it dumped in a ditch and got it back.so I need to know if they can charge me for anything because it was my responsibility.thank you for your time and have a great day.

You call the cops and ask if it got turned into the police station and file a report so that if it turns up they will contact you. Your friend should be there too since it is his bike.

Well you got the bike back so it's a done deal. You should have called your friend and the cops at the same time right when the bike was stolen. The police probably won't get involved but your friend can still take civil legal action against you because you were responsible for the bike at the time.
