We have a Whirlpool Dryer, selecting normal time to dry the start button does not start the dryer.. . Is there a reset or internal fuse on this?

You say the dryer will not start in normal time mode. Will it start in any other mode? Try various combinations of operation--heat, air only, timed, automatic. Does it work at all?

How old is dryer? Gas or electric? Is there a light in the drum? Does the light work when you open the door? If not, could be a bad dryer door switch.
