What is the correct footer for a 3 foot jack post in the crawl space for more support under a house... Is a concrete 1 foot square sufficient?

I don't have any measurements here but the standard footer for a house post Where I build is 24" x24". Its all about spreading Out the Load more then compression in a smaller area which in turn is spreading out the load.
