Ipods and Itunes. It ain't easy !
Hi. My daughter installed itunes about 4 years ago for my 6GB iPod and have a good music selection installed. My computer is almost full and I have mistakenly removed Quicktime not knowing that Itunes needed it. Whenever I attempted to open itunes after that it always said to reinstall because quicktime (I thinks that's what it was called) was missing.
In trying to do this I have somehow installed a whole new itunes (8.2.1) on my computer. I have no idea what has happened to my old itunes or the library of music I had loaded. So now I would like to load my new itunes from my iPod so that I have a back-up etc in case of losing the iPod etc. However it says its synched with another itunes and wants to erase all the music on the iPod and synch with my new itunes. I think I would then lose for good all the music loaded on the iPod.. Does this make sense to you. You can probably tell I'm not of the computer generation.
What should I do.
