How to compact soil for concrete floor
I am building a concrete home, and need to fill and compact about 4 feet of soil before poring the floor. I will use a jumping jack compactor. How much moisture and how deep should each layer be before compacting?

Specifications for manual tampers fill usually require no more than six inch (measured loose) lifts. Moisture content varies with the type of soil.
Your application is very critical. I would recommend that you have a professional soil testing company approve the fill material and perform compaction testing. They will determine the optimum moisture content as part of the process.

You need a engineering firm and soil testing for moisture and composition. And a lot bigger equipment. Unless you are building an extremely small home you won't live long enough to move into it with this approach.
