I currenty on probation for domestic violence in the state of Colorado and I am wanting to relocate to California to be with my partner I am curious to know what the state of californing would be looking for in order to accept me. I have a place to live and a job available to me there and I also would like to know how long it would take to actually get approved. Please help.

What they willl be looking for, is basically are fines paid, if there was any counseling or other items ordered by the court are they done.

If the person who you assulted has moved to California there may be some concern of a "stalking" nature and may be looked at.

Also if the probation is a felony or misdemeanor as to the danger you could pose to people in their state.

And of course how long you have been on probation and if there has been any violations.

The state you are in, will have to release you and the other state accept you
