Toyota corrolla 2003 ac clutch?
Few weeks back noticed my ac was not cooling, popped the hood and after a brief look I noticed there was a huge gap between the ac clutch and the pully... gap of about 1\2 inch. That did not look right to me as I've seen the typical setup of ac compressors/clutches before. I turned the engine off and was able to push the clutch in against the pully thus closing the 1\2 inch gap. After that, I started it up and the clutch began engaging and disengaging normally and never had a 1\2 inch gap or even close to that when disengaged... so problem solved and I continued with cold ac happily ever after... or so I thought. Fast forward a few weeks to today and I once again am not getting cold air... popped the hood again and sure enough the 1\2 inch gap was there again... tried to push it in like last time and it won't move. Do I need a new ac clutch? Or is there an easier fix to this, why does that clutch keep sliding out so far?
If new clutch is needed do you know of any online resources that will sell me just the ac clutch alone?
Thanks!
