3G card & cellphone (different number)
    Hi all,
I have a 3G card on my laptop with a specific mobile number allocated.

I also have a prepaid basic Nokia cellphone with a different mobile number

How do I hook up to Skype?

    Thanks.

All Skype requires is a DATA connection.
The fact you have different cell numbers doesn't matter.

Skype usually requires one data connection EXCEPT Skype mobile.

Skype mobile is an app that installs on your cell phone. Your cell phne should have unlimited data. Skype for moble also calls a landline within the application, so it keeps a phone and data connection active. SO, your paying data rates and phone rates.

Skype that runs on a computer just requires a data connection.

Skype to Skype (computer to computer) is free.

Depending on your Skype plan, Skype can assign you a real phone number too.

WIth Skype gateways installed at home where an internet cnonnection (not necessarily a computer) is available, then you can do some fancy answering machine stuff/call forwarding etc.

The call quality is better when the data connection is better.
