    Wireless connection
Dear computer experts. I would need your favour on the following matters:

    1. Wat is the difference between the following:

    a) wireless 1397 802.11b/g half mini-card
    b) wireless 1510 802.11n half mini-card
    c) intel(r) wifi link 5100 (802.11 a/g/n) half mini card

    2. With the first one, (a) above, can I connect to the free public wifi connection?

    Thanks in advances

IEEE 802.11 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

B and g are normally rolled together

N has been coming into existence.

Your library and most hotspots are likely b/g

    Thanks for your reply

    1. Just to clarify, if mine is "n", can I use it at the spots which are on "b" or "g"?

    2. Is it true that n is better than b and g, in terms of speed?

N is better than b/g in terms of modulation, security, bandwidth uses and hence speed and other factors.

Usually if g is supported, b is. n, I believe, is still in draft. N hasn't replaced b or g yet in hotspots.
