After driving five miles down the road , I pulled into a parking lot and went into the store and when I came back my 1997 toyota camary would not start. It would not even make a sound. Can someone help me?

. Remove and charge the battery. AutoZone will do this for free.

. Clean battery terminals and cable connections. Ensure connections are tight.

. Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multi-meter:

. Check for spark. If none, replace the coil.

. Check for fuel. Can you hear the fuel pump run, when the ignition switch is turned to ON?

My bet is that the battery is dead and needs replacing.
