    Neoprene paint?
I was wondering if anyone knew if there were any specific paint that can paint/dye neoprene? I have a neoprene sleeve for my laptop, and I wanted a friend of mine to do some work on it... I know a sharpie works, but I was wondering if I can get an alcohol based paint on it?

    Hi, ISneezeFunny!

I'm sorry that no one has yet come along to address your question! I had been absent from the site for awhile, so I didn't notice your question until I was just doing a review of the questions when I was absent.

I've heard of using acrylic latex paint on neoprene rubber. But, my thought is that a lacquer-based paint (fingernail polish) might last longer and bend better. I'm really not sure, though.

I would suggest experimenting on a piece of neoprene to see what works.

Hopefully, there will be someone who'll come along who actually has experience with doing this.

    Thanks!

If the neoprene sleeve on your laptop is a laminated type ( I don't think its raw neoprene) IE nylon or polyseter you can use fabric paint on it, the best way is to first apply a base coat, rubbing the paint deep into the fabric evenly, let it dry, (its best to heat set it). From there you can apply the design you want easily.
