When I was little I watched a "scary" movie from the 80's I think... it was in color.

These teenagers sneak into or get stuck in a Wax museum. The rule of the museum is don't cross the velvet rope. So they do and when they cross they enter into the scene. If you don't live through the scene you become a wax figure in the museum. One of the scenes is some guy with a whip that makes a comment about the teen girl getting off at the end of his whip or something like that.

I do know at the end of the movie the surviving teens burn the museum. I thought it was House of Wax but is not.

No, I was earlier than 1988. I remember seeing it prior to my teen years. Could there be another. I have been searching to no avail.

I've been looking for this movie too. For some reason, I think Vincent Price was in it and was much older than his 53' movie and that's been so hard to trace. Do you think it was one of those early Cable movies for Showtime or (First Choice for me in Canada)?

Quinn is right, it is WaxWorks, which also spawned a sequel, WaxWorks 2. Other movies in the wax museum genre are Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933) starring Lionel Atwill, House of Wax (1953) starring Vincent Price, Nightmare in Wax (1968) with Cameron Mitchell, Terror in the Wax Museum (1973) starring Ray Milland, and Tourist Trap (1979) with Chuck Connors.

I won't even mention the awful remake with Paris Hilton.

I've been looking for a similar movie or maybe this one is the one. Does this movie have a vampire and a girl towards the end crossed the line and stays with him?
