Guys oppinions wanted, do I tell him?
Here's the deal, I've been working as an intern for the summer with a friend that is a guy. He's a few years older than me, both of us are single, and I really like him. I'll be leaving for my junior year of college in a few weeks and I'm not sure who I'm going to meet out there or what will happen. My question is do I tell this guy how I feel. I've tried to read him and sometimes I think he's giving me something and others not so much. Not mention he's always referring to other girls being "cute" or "honies" when in my company. I've got a pretty good idea of what I'm going to do but I could really use the oppinions of some guys. How exactly do I know if he likes me? And should I make a move?

A dude is a pimple on a horses arse, and it's a word usuallly used to address men.

Also, straddling him? She's not a stripper, she's a girl and she likes a guy. That may work on you, but most guys like a girl that's a bit more subtle then that.

Just talk to him, ask him how he feels. That's a woman's opinion. ;)

Yeah, both of us are relatively quiet and shy people so I don't really think the straddling thing is quite my style.

Can you say that again, with punctuation so it makes sense?

I don't blame you. It's a bit bold and not something you do when you're asking a guy out, unless you're getting paid for a lap dance, then it's okay. ;)

Really, just approach him, maybe ask him to go for lunch, tell him you really like him and would like to get to know him better. Ask him on a date. You can't win unless you try.

And I think you're him, under a different username.

Time to get the mods to do a check on your IP address and his.

If you're posting under two names you'll be banned.

Yes it is the same person, in fact they have about 5 user names.

Thread closed and all of the user names banned

Sounds to me like he's trying to make you jealous.
That's one of the tactics I use... ;)

I know they were a troll, but don't take that seriously. This is for future reference, in case you outgrow your shyness.
Straddling a man may "turn him on" but it will also tell him you are easy. If you EVER do anything like that to a guy as a way to "ask him out" he will think that it will be for sex, a one night stand, and not a relationship. You sound like you want a relationship, so unless you lose the maturity you have now, don't do that. It's okay if you are already in a relationship, though... ;)

HH, if you read back, the OP agreed that straddling him isn't an option.

It was the boy with 5 usernames that suggested it and then came on to agree with himself and then came on again to argue with himself.

No worries, school is starting again soon. ;)

I know the straddle wasn't an option, macdoncl said she was too shy, I was saying when she's older, and possibly not shy! ;)

Seriuously? This may not mean he's completely uniterested in me? Guys think girls are bad, but if this is true then guys are just as bad in the confusion department, lol. Also, both of us are single.

    Yes, it is true.
Yes, guys are bad in the confusion department. I'm not going to say just as bad. Maybe for half of the month, but then girls start getting a little more confusing again... if you catch my drift. :D
(Or at least it seems that way to me! :p)

But, yes, myself and several other guys I know do that, and I've seen girls do the same thing for the same purposes, so I don't see why it wouldn't be a possibility.

    Good Luck!

Just be yourself... shy, sweating, uncomfortable, tongue-tied, whatever happens, tell him how you feel. I'd personally be impressed, and honored, that you were nervous. I think that it's sweet, and all part of being young. Don't blow this chance, just go do it. He may feel the same way as you. Good luck to you.

And try to ignore the cowgirl comments, THAT guy, whatever his name is THIS log in, is probably going to lead a very lonely life ," dude"( what a tool).

Thanks to everyone for their input, I did tell him and he's uncertain about how he feels but we'll see what happens in the future.

Go off to school, and have fun, maybe you'll see him later. Why start something you can't finish.
